Vyraa uses an AI-assisted reporting system, operated under named human editorial responsibility. We would rather tell you that plainly than let you assume otherwise. Here is exactly how a story gets made:

• Sourcing: Stories begin from published reporting by established outlets and from primary records — in practice that means Washington newsrooms and government sources such as KREM, KHQ, KOMO, KIRO 7, the Kitsap Sun, and city and county websites.
• Multi-source requirement: A local story will not be filed unless it can be corroborated against at least two independent sources; anything outside our core coverage area requires three.
• Drafting: Drafts are written with AI assistance from those verified sources.
• Automated checks before filing: Every draft must pass source-count, duplicate-story, and outbound-link validation. Stories that fail any check are dropped rather than published.
• Inline attribution: Facts, quotes, and figures cite the source publication with a working external link.
• Human accountability: Publication is automated. Accountability is not.

To be precise about the last point, because it is the one that matters most: stories are published automatically once they clear the checks above, without a human reading each one first. Hardik Trehan is editorially responsible for everything that appears here — he sets and adjusts the standards the system works to, reviews what it publishes, and issues every correction.
